I enjoyed my internship at Diagram. I learned a lot about clinical trials and clinical trial monitoring. Because of the supervision from Diagram and the liberty within my research project, I acquired qualitative research skills that will be useful for my professional career. This internship inspired me to pursue a career in clinical research.

In the last five months Amos de Jong (student Biomedical Sciences VU University Amsterdam) investigated the clinical trial monitoring process as part of his Master internship at Diagram.
During his internship, Amos specifically looked in what way sponsors and contract research organizations could improve protocol compliance through clinical trial monitoring.
The outcomes of his thesis, entitled ‘Towards Improved Clinical Trial Monitoring’, have been summarized and are available on our website. The report contains several recommendations to improve the monitoring process.
